What Nextcloud enables
Our offer is built on standard Nextcloud. Below is an overview of features companies use most often. We tune apps at deployment.
Files and sharing
Share folders and files inside the company or via a secure link. Federated sharing between two Nextcloud servers without emailing copies.
Synchronization
Access data from Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, or the web. Desktop and mobile clients keep files up to date where you work.
Versions and trash
Previous versions of edited files are kept and can be restored. Deleted items stay in trash before permanent removal.
Calendar and contacts
Shared calendars between colleagues and groups. Contacts synced across devices.
Tasks
The Tasks app syncs to dos on the server. Useful for personal and team deadlines.
Previews and gallery
Thumbnails for documents and images in the web UI. Gallery for photos with upload, download, or comment permissions.
In browser document editing
Collaborative editing of text documents (e.g. .odt, .doc, .docx, .txt) in the browser. Typically up to about 5 editors at once depending on setup.
Large email attachments
Add ins for Outlook or Thunderbird upload the file to the cloud and insert a link in the message. Recipients download with one click.
External storage
Connect other storage into one UI: WebDAV, SMB/CIFS, (S)FTP, Amazon S3, OpenStack, Google Drive, Dropbox, and more as needed.
Quotas and administration
Assign disk space to users and groups. Usage overview including connected external storage.
